As part of our interschool activities, a team from Lycée Français Marcel Pagnol in Abuja took part in a friendly chess tournament on November 18, 2025, hosted by the International Community School (ICS). Bringing together three schools, the event gave our students the opportunity to represent the school with focus, discipline, and exemplary sportsmanship.
On November 24, 2025, our school hosted the second stage of the tournament. The event ran smoothly and encouraged constructive interaction among participants, while maintaining a competitive spirit grounded in mutual respect and fair play.
These two days provided a valuable learning experience, allowing students to:
develop their analytical and strategic skills;
- strengthen their focus and decision-making skills;
- engage in a positive interschool dynamic;
- promote the values of respect and collaboration inherent in the practice of chess.
This initiative reflects the school’s commitment to fostering diverse learning experiences, encouraging interschool exchanges, and highlighting intellectual activities within the educational community.
