The Marcel Pagnol International French School in Abuja has opened an International Section in British English which will begin at the start of the 2026 academic year for students in the 10th grade.
A program of excellence designed for bilingual students or those with a very high level of English who wish to develop in a demanding international academic environment.
This path leads to the French International Baccalaureate (BFI) in the 11th and 12th grades, a prestigious diploma which combines the excellence of the French baccalaureate with an enhanced course in English language and culture.

The teaching deepens the cultural and linguistic knowledge of the British English Language Institute (BFI) which allows students to develop advanced proficiency in the language, both spoken and written. Students strengthen their analytical, argumentative, and expressive skills in a variety of contexts: plays, novels, and poetry. Examples: Plays by Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe, Caryl Churchill, and Samuel Beckett.

The teaching of general world knowledge explores the major issues of the contemporary world, combined with the completion of a project associating personal research and partnership with an organization (NGO, association, company, etc.) involving a native speaker and culminating in an oral presentation.

Organization of learning
The teacher organizes regular, varied and integrated oral and written activities.
Listening comprehension:
Understanding various audio and video documents (interviews, debates, podcasts, etc.) and getting used to different accents and language registers.
Reading:
Read independently a variety of texts adapted to the level, complete reading paths and summaries, and carry out documentary readings.

Conduct research independently in English.
