MARCEL PAGNOL FRENCH SCHOOL ABUJA

Le CNED

The National Distance Education Center (CNED) is an official (public) establishment of the Ministry of Education that provides education in accordance with French educational curriculum.

Our 11th and 12th grade students. are currently enrolled collectively in full and regulated classes, with teaching assistants who provide the necessary support to meet the CNED's homework requirements.

The class council is managed by the CNED teachers who decide on the promotion to higher classes.

Functioning of CNED in EFMPA

Registration at CNED is open in June: the registration procedure takes at least 5 weeks. The authorization of the diplomatic bag as well as the schooling notice of the Cultural Counsellor of the embassy are also compulsory.

After obtaining the authorization to send the courses through the French diplomatic pouch, the student's registration is finalized at the CNED in Rennes.

Registration fee for the year 2019 - 2020

122 euros for the diplomatic pouch
995 euros for the courses: digital version + paper version
33 euros for stamps
Total – 1150 euros

After registration, students have access to their personal space :

They can download courses, teaching aids and have exchanges with their CNED tutors in each subject.

Homework: students receive lessons in all subjects, audio materials in languages and sometimes DVDs in science. Homework is completed and corrected by teachers from the French Ministry of Education.

Organization of the courses

Students have a weekly schedule. Classes are divided into segments over the school year (from 3 to 12 segments) and each segment is divided into several sessions. At the end of each segment, the students do homework which is corrected by the CNED examiner. Our teachers check the homework before submitting it. To have a good academic pace, the student must send at least 4 assignments per week.

Our teachers follow the program and the schedule of the CNED classes. The Vie Scolaire establishes a chart for each student's assignments.
